Supporting Our Veterans
and Their Families
We
owe a debt to our veterans that we can never pay.
They
have put our lives before their own in volunteering to defend the
freedoms that we enjoy in this country.
Many
times they come home to their families just find but often times
they come home with physical and physiological conditions that
impact their lives in many ways. Sometimes they don't come home at
all.
What Do I Mean By
Unconditional Support
Unconditional means that if our veterans experience problems, such
as the loss of a limb, I believe that we owe it to them to give them
the best treatment. We should not get cheap when it comes to taking
care of people that have made sacrifices to protect this country and
what we stand for. I do
not believe that they need to jump through a bunch of hoops in order
to receive our gratitude and thanks.
If they need it, they get it.
Supporting Our Veterans
Families
We
often times ignore the needs of our veterans families.
Losing a breadwinner in a family puts that family into chaos.
I don't believe that we do enough to help them.
I believe that larger insurance policies should be available
to our active duty members.
I believe that the survivors of a veteran should receive
college scholarships, if desired.
I believe that surviving spouses and children should receive
support services just as if the member had retired.
We need to take care of these people as if their spouses were
here.
What I Will Do In
Washington
I
will fight to protect the rights and dignities of our veterans.
I will continue to see resolution to the POW-MIA issues.
I will fight to see to it that our veterans get the best
possible medical care for whatever their needs might be.
We
owe them that much.
