Supporting Our Troops and
Their Families
We
owe a debt to our Troops that we can never pay.
They
have put our lives before their own in volunteering to defend the
freedoms that we enjoy in this country.
They
are making the offering themselves to protect this nation.
To go where they are directed to go and the follow the orders
of the civilian leaders of this nation.
They might not want to fight but they go because they
understand duty and honor.
I am
saddened by our civilian leadership that seeks to ridicule or
belittle the men and woman who serve this nation.
What Do I Mean By
Unconditional Support
Unconditional means we need to get the tools and equipment to the
troops that they need to do their jobs.
We cannot cut corners on protective equipment, defensive and
offensive weapon systems.
If we are going to commit our troops to a conflict then we
need to make sure that they have what they need to do the job.
They
need the finest medical facilities and equipment that we can buy.
We cannot put them in harms way without making sure that they
receive the best chance at survival if wounded.
If
disabled we need to make sure that they receive whatever they need
to return their lives to as normal a process as possible after
completing their medical care and we need to continue that
assistance for as long as it takes.
We
must never forget the magnitude of their sacrifice.
Supporting Our Troops
Families
Serving in the military means sacrifice.
The service member and their families will suffer from low
pay, separation, and one spouse is usually left to manage the home,
family, and anything else that comes up.
We need to improve the support structure that families have
available to them while their entire family sacrifices for this
country.
What I Will Do In
Washington
I
will work to see to it that our troops and their families have what
they need to do what they have to do.
We
owe them that much.
