Responsible Fiscal Policy
the spending of the federal government is just simply out of
control. There is no accountability, there is no responsibility, and
there are no results that we can use to measure the success of
congresses out of control bail out. The current spending must stop
and we must develop comprehensive programs to stimulate job growth
in this economy.
How Much Do We Owe
At the time of this writing, the national debt exceeded
$12,300,000,000,000.
We are paying $1.2 billion per day in interest on the national debt.
The debt represents nearly $113,000 per taxpayer or nearly $40,000
for every man woman and child in this nation.

The Budget Is So Massive, How Do We Control It.
Taking the time to learn where the money is going and how it is
being spent is half the battle to controlling spending. The budget
that comes out of Congress is thousands of pages long and
congressmen believe that they don't have enough time to review and
understand the budget.
Until we take the time to review the budget before it is voted on
and get our questions answered about where the money is going,
spending will continue out of control.
What I Will Do In Congress
I, and my staff, will take the time to review the budget and
understand everything in it. My background in finance and accounting
allows me to have a better understanding than many of the
congressmen serving today.
I will work to pass a balanced budget amendment. Until that happens
I will work to require the U.S. Congress to pass a balanced budget.
I will work to pass the fair tax (HR 25)
I will require accountability for every dime that the federal
government spends of taxpayer money. |
